Metaphorical Narrative
Lying in bed, the mind sketches tomorrow.
Endless branches, each one leading to “what if.”
The tree becomes monstrous, blocking the night sky.
But none of its branches exist in the room.
Core Insight
This is phantom future vs. present relief.
The DMN weaves simulations that burn fuel without outcome.
We call for a Debrief:
Ask, “Did presence return at least once today?”
That root-level reminder collapses tomorrow’s phantom branches.
Saturday Experiment
Before sleep, note one presence moment from the day.
Hold it in mind as proof the trunk still stands.
Sunday Reflection
How did the person prove that phantom branches dissolved?
What evidence of relief came from recalling presence?
