Metaphorical Narrative
You’re told to sit in a chair for safety. But the chair is cheap plastic, flimsy and hollow. At first it seems to hold you — until it begins to bend. The longer you sit, the deeper you sink.
It was never built for rest, only for trapping you in one place.
Core Insight
Survival mode often feels like this: familiar, almost comfortable, but secretly draining. It pretends to protect you while stealing your stability.
The way out is not to sit straighter. It’s to get up, burn the chair, and stand on solid ground.
Saturday Experiment
Notice when you feel “held” by worry or old vigilance. Ask yourself: am I in the flimsy chair?
Stand up — literally. Plant your feet. Stretch your chest. Let your body feel the difference.
Sunday Reflection
What has survival convinced you to sit through that never really held you?
What does standing on your own ground feel like in contrast?
