Ego Perfectionism Criticism

Metaphorical Narrative

He arrives polished, upright, wearing a critic’s robe. His voice is sharp: “Not good enough. If it’s not perfect, it’s worthless.”

Mr. Never-Enough wields perfection like a blade, cutting down every ordinary good. His strategy is simple: deny contentment, postpone peace, keep you forever chasing.

Core Insight

Perfection is counterfeit. “Good” is already enough. The critic’s cage collapses the moment you accept presence without waiting for flawless.

Saturday Experiment

  1. Do one thing good enough.
  2. Call it finished.
  3. Burn the critic’s robe: “Enough is enough. Burn.”

Sunday Reflection

Write in third person: “She hears Mr. Never-Enough sneer that her work is worthless…”
How does life feel when “enough” is allowed?
Seal with: “Good is good. Presence wins.”
