Ego Rebellion Choice
Metaphorical Narrative
In a dark alley, a masked figure shouts: “I’ll do whatever I want!” The voice is loud, the fists raised. But look closer: every gesture is aimed at a shadowy authority on the wall. Without that enemy, the figure would fall silent.
The mask hides a child’s face — still fighting ghosts of old coercion. The rebellion looks like freedom, but it is chained to opposition.
True freedom does not shout. It simply walks away.
Core Insight
Ego often dresses up as rebellion. But if your action is only to prove you’re not controlled, you’re still defined by control. Sovereignty is quiet.
Saturday Experiment
- When the urge rises to shout “I’ll do what I want”, pause.
- Ask: Am I choosing for me, or just reacting against?
- Practice silent choice — act without declaration.
Sunday Reflection
Write about two figures:
- The rebel shouting at shadows.
- The sovereign who walks freely in silence.
Which one moves with real power?
