Ego Drama Manipulation
Metaphorical Narrative
On the street corner stands a shady merchant, shoving pity into your hands: “Feel sorry for yourself. Buy another round. You need this.”
Every purchase is another night of heaviness. Pity is his only currency.
Core Insight
The Pity Merchant thrives on transactions of self-drain. The only way to bankrupt him is to stop buying. No pity purchased, no shop survives.
Saturday Experiment
- When pity is offered, refuse the sale: “No purchase. Burn.”
- Replace with action — one step of strength instead.
- See the merchant’s stall collapse.
Sunday Reflection
Write in third person: “She hears the Merchant hawking pity…”
How does life feel when the stall is empty?
Seal with: “I spend my energy on strength, not pity.”
