Needs Shame Independence Sovereignty
Metaphorical Narrative
A child counts coins and buys pencils and notebooks—a clean act of self-care. The Outer Critic twists it into shame.
The King takes the supplies, lifts them into light: “Shame burns. Supplies remain.”
Core Insight
Invalidation can teach the body that meeting needs is wrong. It never was. Self-care stands sovereign.
Saturday Experiment
Buy one small, useful thing today. As you pay, say: “This act is sovereign. Supplies remain.”
Sunday Reflection
List the “supplies” that still remain—tools and acts of care no critic could erase.
