Ego in Costume

Ego hides by pretending it is not you. The disguise only works until you rip the mask off.

Ego Identity

Metaphorical Narrative

A robot walks beside you, repeating: “This is not me. This is logic. This is truth.”
But the metal mask slips — and underneath is the same ego face you’ve seen a thousand times.

The costume never made it real.

Core Insight

Ego survives by wearing disguises: logic, duty, even humility. Identity shifts when you see the mask as mask, not reality.

Saturday Experiment

  1. When a thought insists “this isn’t ego,” pause.
  2. Ask: “Whose mask is this?”
  3. Label it “ego costume” and refuse to obey.

Sunday Reflection

  • What disguises did ego wear today?
  • How fast did they spot the mask?
  • What happened when the mask was torn away?
