Fear Doom Autonomy
Metaphorical Narrative
Two roads in night rain.
Left path glows with a neon sign: OR ELSE.
Right path is unlit but dry. A whisper trails from the left: “You’ll end up here anyway.”
You step to the right.
The neon hisses out behind you, revealed as a wet poster over a brick wall—no depth, no teeth.
Core Insight
“Be doomed” is a threat theater.
It hijacks risk-calculation, not outcomes. Once you run the numbers in daylight, it collapses.
- Name it: “Doom dealer — counterfeit forecast.”
- Run the worst case to zero: what actually happens if you don’t obey?
- Replace tribute with boundaries.
Saturday Experiment
- Doom Math (2 min): Write the doom headline. Then list the real consequences, probabilities, and mitigations.
- Boundary Line: One sentence spoken out loud: “We will not purchase safety with obedience.”
- Clean Act: Take one micro-action toward the right path (email, calendar block, or deliberate rest).
Sunday Reflection
- Which part of the doom was a poster, not a wall?
- How did they price their safety before vs. after Doom Math?
- What boundary sentence do they want as a reusable line this week?
